26-29 October 2009: Article of Marquette Turner's visit

"DAY 4:

Every great trip must come to an end, and as today is the last full day in Thailand, we're definitely going to make the most of it.

A brief shower cleared in time for us to jump on the mopeds and head for a tour of the island. Koh Yao Noi has an 18km perimeter of small but very well maintained roads. There's also plenty of tracks to venture off onto, which is perfect for exploring.

We stopped briefly at the village (which even has the island's real estate office!), as well as food stalls and souvenir shops with plenty of interesting bits and pieces.

There's also internet access and I should mention that for the whole time on the island we've had excellent mobile phone reception, and internet access.

The floating restaurant for lunch was fantastic, particularly selecting our fish from the ocean. It was way beyond fresh!

Riding passed the paddy fields was eye opening - the water buffalo (ably protected by birds) - amongst the lush green tropical surroundings. There was also the King's 80th Birthday Commemorative Gardens, and numerous villages that formed part of our trip. And everywhere you go, the locals smile and wave - very Thai!

The end of the ride was timed to perfection. Literally as we pulled up outside our villa the heaven's opened. It is that time of year after all, but given how green everything is it's hard to complain.

This is when we had to say farewell to Villaguna - for now. The staff were so warm and hospitable, the development is coming on very well (with the attention to detail outstanding), and we cannot wait to see it progress.

Our evening in Phuket was as great as each other - our hosts have been gracious, warm and we're looking forward to seeing them again very soon.

Once back in Australia, we'll write more about the opportunities that investing in Villaguna Residences and Spa present, as this is a destination not to be kept secret. (-MTLH)" written by Marquette Turner Luxury Homes
